Eight Sixty Stripe Maxi Dress by Eight Sixty

I bought this striped maxi by Eight Sixty last month and I absolutely LOVE it.  You could easily dress it up or down, throw it on for a coffee run or a dinner date.

NOTE: This dress is very, very long. I'm 5ft 4in and had to have it hemmed but the bottom edges of the dress are not finished so you could easily cut it to your desired length with some basic pins, ruler, and sharp fabric scissors.

Zebras, Suri Cruise and Victoria's Secret Supermodel Essentials

This post is sort of random and all over the place. I've decided to do things a little differently with this blog. I'd stepped away from blogging for a while 'coz I'd been busy with family, writing and blogging started becoming sort of a chore. Not to mention, I'd curbed my spending at Anthro and J.Crew after I'd quit my job at Hells Fargo. I'd started to dress more casually and shop at different stores.

So, I'm just gonna post a whole hodge podge of stuff sporadically whenever I feel inspired. Here goes . . .

Lately, I've been obsessed with Victoria's Secret Supermodel Essentials. I LOVE this pullover. The one thing that sets it apart from just being a boring, drab 'ol pullover is the delicate sequins that embellish the shoulder sleeves. It gives it a little bit of BLING without being too tacky or over the top. I own this pullover in all 3 colors and it's been my go-to sweatshirt this Fall and Winter.

I simply adore this look on LC.

Now on to decor. My zebra inspiration (from amerrymishap's blog)

This zebra print is from Ikea. It's only $39.99 and it's called the PJÄTTERYD. I'd been looking for a pic for my mantle and spotted this at Ikea. So I brought it home to mi casa and here it is below, in my living room. A ZEBRA PRINT!! I'd never figured myself for an animal print sort of gal. But hey, I really like this print.

And LOOK! This zebra print even works in a baby's nursery. Who would've THUNK!!! (from itsmarvelous blog)

I spotted this Suri Cruise-like faux fur coat at Costco for only $26. It comes in girls sizes from ages 2-6. My daughter M loves this coat. My dad says it looks like a bath robe. I think not! I think it looks like something Suri Cruise would throw on when she goes shopping on Fifth Avenue.

Well, that's all folks. Now I've gotta go cook some mac n cheese for my kiddos and take the pooches for a walk afterward. I'll be back with another random post next year. Until then, Have a Fab 2013! xoxo L
